Show Successes

The showing and judging of alpacas is a relatively new event at the agricultural shows up and down the country. It is proving very popular and is an excellent forum to present alpacas to the farming and wider community.

When alpacas are judged in the show ring, the majority of the points are awarded for the quality of the fleece and it is these fleece characteristics that are so important in the development of our breeding programmes.

We have been showing our alpacas at various shows around the country for more than ten years. Among our successes are champions from:

• East of England show
• South of England show
• Heart of England show
• BAS National show
• Royal Norfolk show
• British Alpaca Futurity show
• Kenilworth show

Trade stands

We can sometimes be found promoting alpaca farming at local agricultural shows. In 2012 we plan to exhibit at the following shows - please come and visit us on our trade stands:

• Hertfordshire show: 2-3 June 2012
• Suffolk show: 7-8 June 2012
• East of England show: 6-8 July 2012
