About Morden Hall Alpacas

quoteA young alpaca at Morden Hall Janet and I started Morden Hall Alpacas in 1997 when we purchased our first alpacas. Since then we have learnt a great deal about these wonderful creatures and now run a herd of over 100 animals. We have successfully bred alpacas here on our farm for more than ten years but we have also recognised the importance of continually improving the quality of our herd with the introduction of new bloodlines. We have carefully selected and purchased many new animals from alpaca breeders in the UK as well as from Australia and Peru.

We are independent breeders free from any outside influence, but are pleased to be working closely with Livanti Alpacas — another family concern who share our own objectives to provide a friendly but professional service to existing and potential alpaca breeders.

We believe our herd contains some of the finest alpacas in the country. We have had considerable success at the various shows – including the BAS National show for 2007. Show winners and their progeny are available to purchase as well as an excellent selection of ‘starter’ animals. We are pleased to welcome visitors to our farm – just call Janet or me to make an appointment to meet the Morden Hall Alpacas.

Breed Societies

We are members of the British Alpaca Society(BAS). We are delighted that our industry now has one national registry. All our animals are registered with the BAS and we encourage new owners to ensure that they only purchase properly registered animals. In this way we believe we can best protect the welfare of the alpacas in the UK and minimise the risks of theft.
