Morden Hall Alpacas run two types of courses for alpaca owners or those interested in alpacas. Introductory courses are aimed at new breeders or people thinking of buying alpacas. We also run a new handling techniques and husbandry course.

This is a basic course designed by Peter and Janet Garner to provide an overview of alpaca ownership.

Birthing Course

New for 2010, this half day course is designed to cover some of the practical aspects of breeding alpacas. This is not a veterinary course but an opportunity for us to share some of our own experiences over 13 years of breeding alpacas covering approximately 250 births. The course will include some practical tips on mating, pregnancy, birthing and care of the newborn cria.

Morden Hall, Guilden Morden, Royston, Hertfordshire. We are located on the border between Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, about 10 minutes from the A505 that links Baldock and Royston - see how to find us.

We make just a nominal charge to cover our costs in running these courses.
