Agistment Services

What?

We are pleased to offer agistment (or livery services) for your alpacas. Under this arrangement we care for your alpacas at our farm. Your animals will receive the same high level of care that we devote to our own animals.

Why?

Some clients on a limited budget opt for agistment as, under this arrangement, one alpaca can be purchased on its own as it will have plenty of company in the fields. A client can start to establish a breeding herd moving them to their own land when the herd size has increased sufficiently.

Other clients may wish to start their herd before they are ready to take delivery – and sometimes before they have the land available. Agistment makes this a realistic alternative.

How much?

The cost of agistment usually works out at about £6 per week per animal. Additional costs would be insurance and any non-routine veterinary bills. We do require clients using our agistment services to take out insurance cover on their animals.
